當副詞用

either 也

例句: I didn’t get enough food to eat, and you didn’t either.

例句: Jack is not stupid, I’m not either.

neither 也不

例句: I didn’t get enough food to eat, and neither did you.

例句: Jack is not stupid, neither am I.

當形容詞用

either : 1. (兩者)其中之一的; 2. (兩者) 都

例句1:  You can choose either way. 你可以挑其中一個方法。

例句2:  He has a bag in either hand. 他兩隻手各拿一個包包。

neither : (兩者) 都不

例句: Neither pant fits. 兩個褲子都不合身。

注意: either跟neither雖然都有表示「都」的意思(一個是「都」一個是「都不」)，但其實有「各別」的意思(一個是「各別都」一個是「各別都不」)，所以用法上自然就與both不同，如果是使用both表示「都」的概念，後面是要加複數名詞的。
